Easterby's Family Grille: A Seafood Haven for Families in Charleston

If you want a quiet place (no TVs) to enjoy good food at a reasonable price, this is a great candidate on Hwy 61. Keto dieting is well-accommodated, in my opinion. I had the grilled shrimp, blackened, shrimp, and grilled mushrooms. I found the mushrooms were very fresh and definitely had never been in a can. I look forward to trying the steaks or BBQ (without sauce) in the future. Fortunately, they do take tap-to-pay payments, but they do charge a surcharge for credit card payments (and likely debit ones, too). My one real complaint, if I have to make one, is that the men's restroom is cramped and features a sink that is difficult to use.

Ordered the fried mushrooms appetizer & a 3-item Make Your Own Platter with grilled scallops, fried oyster, and a crab cake with sides of grilled potatoes and baked potato. Called my order in (no online order site I could find) and the lady was very nice and accommodating. When I picked up my order, she opened all my food containers to verify customer satisfaction / order correctness before payment. I appreciated that business practice; I've had a couple seafood spots in CHS and CLT do that. Glad to have a spot nearby where I can get grilled seafood options for when I'm fried out. Looking forward to trying the blackened fish options. Plentiful amount of beautifully-golden fried oysters in the platter, only downside was that it seemed to taste like burnt oil. Interestingly, the fried mushrooms did not taste like burnt oil. So, perhaps separate station used. Also, oysters were in a lighter, crispier breading/batter compared to the thicker-coated mushrooms. Fried items were thoughtfully dried of excess oil, so there was no soggy bottoms from steaming in the takeout container Crab cake is 90/10 filler:crab ratio; tastes more like the filling in a deviled blue crab shell if you prefer that crab cake style. I had expectations for 80/20 crab:filler, but the crab cake's pleasant seasoning made up for it. Aside from those notes, great prices for the filling portions! Cozy, quaint, no frills ambiance.

Felt like Family! Will definitely be back! Rare finds like fried okra and this thing they do with mushrooms that is so yummy. Great value for the price!

Stopped by for lunch a little after noon. The waiter was excellent and timely in his response. I had the 20pcs shrimp with two sides. It's was served fast and it was very delicious. Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family

Amazing seafood and a home cooked meal that’s not overpriced. We found this hidden gem in West Ashley and have been coming about once a week now. Chuck is the best- he’s an amazing server…always happy, quick with service, never messes up an order and is always friendly!! We love Easterbys. Highly recommend. 10/10

Really Good food and reasonable prices! As far as atmosphere, It’s like stepping back in time, which I like. I understand it’s been there a long time -a family run restaurant.

Easterby’s whether it was Donald/ Ronald there is better family that you want to get your catering from for a birthday or a wedding. I loved every bit of all their cooking however they did it for the best in the business in Southern cuisine catering/ in house restaurant!
